I've signed up: what do I do next?

Well, how about taking a look at the Step-by-Step Guide. It walks you through setting up your event.

hi,

i just signed up to an account online.

my username is freemaninternational.

I am going to sign up for an upgraded account but i do have a couple of questions:

We will be using this solution to sell tickets for nightclub based events in australia.

We like the idea of print at home tickets and cant really find a solution that meets out budget here.

I was wondering why ts doesnt just send the barcoded pdf ticket direct to the customers email rather than give them a download link? It would be a much neater solution. I was wondering if this would ever be possible with your software.

My second issue is the scanning option.

I was wondering if there is any way to generate an offline file that we could feed into a pda rather than relying on the internet to verify customers. internet connectivity is not always possible (especially when we organise dance cruises on sydney harbour).

do you have any suggestions or ideas? they would really be appreciated.

thanks
george

There are several reasons why we send a link to the tickets, rather than sending the pdf directly to the customer.

1) The pdfs can be quite large in size, and anyone ordering bulk tickets may have issues receiving several large attachments.

2) The tickets are place on a live link, which means any changes to the event will update automatically on the link, so the tickets can be accessed again.

3) Attachments are often filtered out by Spam filters. We use a plain text email with the link in it to avoid any filters, meaning customers are more likely to receive their confirmations.

With regards to the offline application. We do have a product called Ticket Checker, whereby you can download all of your tickets for a specific event to the application on a computer and scan the tickets at the entry point without need for internet access. This service does have an annual charge associated with it. For more info, please contact staff-sales@iris.co.uk
