Free and Pay on the Door tickets

You can set up both free tickets and pay on the door tickets.

For free tickets, just set the price of all the tickets to 0.00.

For Pay on the Door tickets, put the ticket price into the description (and remember to take payment on the door on arrival!) and set the price of the ticket to 0.00

There is an example that you can look at here that shows both paid tickets and pay on the door tickets for a fictional event.

Scenestorm.com is a new site that allows you to promote your events and venues. Your first listing is free.

Is it possible to produce Guest tickets? e.g free/no payment taken and not listed in the kiosk for customers to see.

Thanks

Guest/Complimentary Tickets

There is no function that would allow you to set up any tickets that would just be available to the event organiser. All tickets that are created will be available to all purchasers.

Ticket Printing

IRIS Express only supports a print at home ticket format.
Any customer who purchases a ticket will receive a confirmation email once their ticket transaction has been completed. This email will contain a link to their print at home ticket which will have a barcode on the ticket.

IRIS Ticketing Solutions have other products which do make use of ticket printing with thermal printers such as IRIS Web.

Delivery Method

Hi - is there any way of switching off the print from home tickets. We have souvenir tickets for our event that will be posted to customers. That is the only ticketing method we want to use?

There is no way of switching off the print at home tickets in IRIS Express. However, you can customise the text on the print at home tickets to tell the purchaser that these are just "confirmations of purchase" and that "your tickets will be sent by post in the next xx days. If they do not arrive, please call 01 2345 6789 and quote your booking number to Angel in our service team."

There are other IRIS products which do make use of other physical ticket options including thermal tickets and souvenir tickets. If you are interested in this see our full range of solutions or if you would like some more information, please contact: ticketingsupport@iris.co.uk

Just a thought - regarding this, if you want to hold on to some tickets for complementaries or vip's, just subtract that number from the total available for sale. That way, you're only releasing the tickets for sale less the complementaries. Hope this helps.
