PayPal Is Unavailable

Hi

Users booking tickets have been unable to connect to PayPal - a message simply says PayPal is unavailable at the moment - although I am able to log in to PayPal directly. Is this a problem with Iris Tickets or with PayPal? Nothing has changed as far as we are concerned and tickets have already been sold in the past few weeks via the Iris Ticketing Solutions website.

Cheers

Jon

This was due to an issue IRIS were experiencing with our connection with Paypal. This was rectified and payments should be being processed as per normal.

Problem with IE8 users

When some of my customers, with IE8, try to click the Paypal button they get a generic message. https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_flow&SESSION=IWUxdbxTfYxDJYXZI2ysOjfJz jgDLLjvIEPz61ZK6OJRCEA1oNsPt7apWmO&dispatch=50a222 a57771920b6a3d7b606239e4d529b525e0b7e69bf0224adecf b0124e9b5eb2336391e7cbed125f6c5bdaf8a1cd475a5c32af 8ad329

Some research shows this is a know issue with IE8. It can be fixed by including some additional header info, but as the iristickets link must be outside of a frame (i.e. my website) I can't add this header info...

I've checked that Compatibility mode on/off seems to make no difference.

BTW - some IE8 users can do this fine.

This is happening due to the use of the kiosk in an i-frame. Paypal will not accept transactions when the customer has come from the website via the kiosk in an i-frame, as it does not recognise the source url.

When going via the website to the kiosk, the url still displays the website address, rather than the kiosk address which is why paypal did not recognise it.

I understand that IE8 has a problem with frames. This can be resolved with adding header info, directing IE8 to use compatability mode.

My site opens up the Iristickets box office in a different tab/window & importantly the iristickets web address is visible, not that of my website.

My website opens a new tab/window with the following target address https://express.iristickets.co.uk/k?axbridgeevents hence this appears to me to be an Iristickets issue, not my Box Office.

I'd be happy to be shown to be wrong & how to resolve this.

When using the i-frame, the address url bar still states the original website address, rather than the kiosk details. The best way to view the differences would be to put the kiosk link in directly without going through the website.
